Always select the correct welding nozzle size for the job in hand. If the nozzle is too small for the job then more gas is required to increase the flame size, this will make the flame difficult to control and will not give you a good weld. If the nozzle is too large for the job then the operator could turn the gas down too low to make the flame smaller for the job, this is dangerous as a flashback could be imminent and could result in injury.
The swaged nozzle works equally well with an oxy/acet or oxy/lpg mix.
