The E309L-16 electrode is an AWS-classified low-carbon stainless electrode specifically suited for joining dissimilar metals — particularly 304/316 stainless steel to mild or low-alloy steel. Also used as a buffer layer or cladding on carbon steel. The low carbon chemistry reduces sensitisation risk. The 2.50mm diameter suits all-position and root pass applications. AC/DC compatible. Supplied as 2kg pack.
