Helmet Lense – Shade 8

Glass lens used on flip up part of the old style flip-up welding helmet. This gives the Welder a shade 8 darkness when the arc is struck. A most common shade for many welders, however when selecting your shade of preference there are a number of aspects to take into account. IE – lightness of the surrounding working area as well as each individual’s eye sight. Although it may be better to go darker while you are welding, your surroundings might not permit such a dark lens and prevent you to see your actual welding piece.
