Description

2% thoriated tungsten electrode (AWS EWTh-2, red band) 2.40mm. The standard DC TIG tungsten for welding mild steel, stainless steel, copper alloys, and nickel alloys. Thorium oxide improves arc starting, maintains a pointed tip, and extends electrode life on DC. The 2.40mm size is the most commonly used for general TIG applications. Not recommended for AC.
