Tungsten electrode 2% thoriated 1.60mm (per tungsten)

2% thoriated tungsten electrodes (WT20 classification) are the most widely used tungsten for DC TIG welding applications. The 2% thoria addition improves electron emission, arc starting, and current-carrying capacity compared to pure tungsten. Suitable for welding mild steel, stainless steel, copper, and nickel alloys on DC electrode negative. The 1.60mm diameter suits low to medium amperage precision TIG work. Note: thoriated tungsten is mildly radioactive — follow safe grinding and handling procedures.
