Tungsten electrode zirconiated 1.60mm

Zirconiated tungsten electrodes (WZ8 classification) are the preferred choice for AC TIG welding of aluminium and magnesium alloys. The zirconium oxide addition provides excellent arc stability on AC and maintains a balled tip profile under AC conditions, reducing tungsten contamination of the weld pool. Offers higher current capacity than pure tungsten at equivalent diameters. The 1.60mm diameter suits low to medium amperage aluminium TIG work.
