The E308L-16 electrode is the standard AWS-classified low-carbon electrode for welding 304, 304L, 308, and 308L austenitic stainless steels. Low carbon content limits carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion susceptibility. Suited for fabrication and repair in food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, and general stainless applications. The 4.00mm diameter suits flat and horizontal position welding at higher deposition rates. AC/DC compatible. Supplied as 2kg pack.
