ER316L is an AWS-classified low-carbon stainless steel TIG filler wire for GTAW welding of 316 and 316L grade austenitic stainless steel. The low carbon content prevents carbide precipitation and maintains corrosion resistance in the heat-affected zone. Suited for chemical processing, marine, and pharmaceutical equipment. Requires 100% argon shielding. The 3.20mm diameter suits higher amperage welding on thicker stainless sections. Supplied as a 5kg pack of cut-length rods.
